Outdoor Ed Student Donation Deposit

Exploring New Horizons in Scotts Valley, CA, offers a 4 day, 3 night outdoor education program for 5th graders at its Sempervirens campus. Set in the redwoods and near the coast, the program gives students hands-on science experiences while building community and fostering a love for nature.
Guided by experienced naturalists, students explore tide pools, hike through forests, and learn about ecosystems and environmental stewardship. Activities are aligned with school standards and encourage reflection through journaling, art, and discussion.
Evenings feature fun and inclusive events like campfires, skits, and a dance. Students also take part in a mock Town Hall to debate environmental topics. Cabin life helps them build independence and social skills under adult supervision.
All four Walnut Grove 5th grade classes will be attending camp at the same time.
